Introducing a true spectacle when it comes to the world of vintage straight razors; this incredible work of art, one nearly 40 000 years in the making, features scales made of genuine mammoth tusk ivory. 

An extremely limited run of these gorgeous razors were made by Dovo of Solingen, the production of which stopping nearly 8 years ago. Boasting an attractive 24k Gold detailing on the shank, spine, and tang of the blade, and hex-bolt pins mounted flush on the rear, these phenomenal razors are the absolute epitome of both expert craftsmanship, and genuine beauty. In fact, you shouldn’t be surprised if they instantly become the spotlight of even the most extensive straight razor collection. 

And, fortunately for all collectors, while the colossal giants these razors sourced their ivory from are long gone, extinct for millennia, a limited number of these remarkable straight razors still remain today! These unique works of art are particularly difficult to find, however, so get them before they’re gone, and truly disappear forever!

Originally sourced from Siberian Russia, each mammoth ivory handle has been treated with a sealing liquid, before being laminated on a melamine layer; effectively protecting these scales from all common signs of wear. 

The use of this rare material produces not only a one of a kind scale, but the high-quality carbon steel used for each blade easily makes it one of the top-performers of its kind. For more than a century, Dovo has been expertly crafting exceptional straight razors. With such a profound testament to quality, you are ensured a brilliantly-crafted German razor that will provide years of excellent service; that is, of course, if you decide to shave with this incredible straight razor instead of collecting it!

Note: The scales of these straight razors are made from natural material, and because of this, each razor will vary slightly in their own naturally occurring colour and grain, ensuring you that each piece is a truly unique razor!

Comes with the original box, and a certificate of authenticity. Like any high-end collectible, we ask that you advise us on whether you would like the original factory edge, or made to be completely “Shave Ready” 

If you entrust to us this special privilege, like all other straight razors leaving the Classic Edge, we will take great care to ensure this edge is perfect in every way. As always, a final polishing will be done after honing, to give this razor the remarkable shine it had the day it came out of the factory.

Please allow a minimum of at least 2-3 business days for us to prepare your Straight Razor, as this is not a product that you buy just anywhere. It needs special attention to detail as it will come in contact with your skin, and must be sanitized and polished before being coated with Renaissance Wax.
