Even before the Tour de France could establish itself as the most important cycling race in the world, the former heroes tortured themselves on two wheels over rough cobblestones, dusty gravel roads, and sometimes short and torturous climbs. Steel frame, cotton jersey, casquette, and only a heroic moustache were the usual equipment for the relentless 250 km of the classic one-day races. This nostalgic magic gave rise to the five monuments of cycling that still thrill countless cycling fans today. The first of these traditional one-day classics originated in Belgium and France before 1900, and brought esteem, fame, and honour to the winners.
Boker brings back a piece of history and presents the Boker Bicycle Race as a new edition of the razor of the same name that appeared around 1900. The blade of this special model, which is limited to 300 pieces worldwide, shows a classic bicycle race in a picturesque landscape, based off historical models. The elaborately restored motif, laser-cut in several layers, fills almost the entire face of the blade, while the historic H. Boker & Co logo adorn its edge.
The 5/8 inch wide blade, made of resistant carbon steel, is provided with a degree head, and mimics for the versatility, robustness, and straightness of those classic bicycles that had to be prepared for all terrains. So, believe us when we say that the Boker Bicycle Race is in no way inferior when it comes to shaving. Not sacrificing on aesthetic appeal, the classy satin finish and the single-edged jimpings round off the heroic profile of this gorgeous razor. The crowned handle made of black plastic has been contemporary refined with two nickel silver studs. Handmade in the Boker Knife Manufactory in Solingen, each razor includes a certificate of authenticity, and comes in historical packaging.

This $25 Value is our way of showing you that we are willing to take our Customer Service to the next level. After all, nothing is worse than buying a Straight Razor as a gift for a loved one, only for them to open the box and realize that they now have to send it away to be sharpened before they can use it. Also included is a free follow up honing that can be used once your razor is in need of a fresh edge.
Please allow a minimum of at least 2-3 business days for us to prepare your Straight Razor, as this is not a product that you buy just anywhere. It needs special attention to detail as it will come in contact with your skin, and must be sanitized and polished before being coated with Renaissance Wax. This careful and considerate attention to each razor is the difference between a shaving store that will rush your razor out the next morning, and our own Artisan-owned shaving store that is nothing less than extreme when it comes to making their clients 100% satisfied. It’s our job to ensure that your experience is perfect. We cannot thank you enough for visiting our website, and we hope you have a great day.
Note: When you receive the razor for the first time, carefully take it out of the box and remove the oil with a piece of tissue. The razor has already been stropped and it completely “Shave Ready”, so go ahead and shave! You will get 2 shaves before needing to strop (depending on how aggressive your beard growth is. Each time you have used your razor, rinse the blade with hot tap water. Carefully and thoroughly dry the blade and in between the scales with a piece of tissue paper before you close it.
